Wayne BrownA successful and hard-working entrepreneur from inner London, Wayne graduated as an engineer before moving into the world of IT as a technician and then onto sales where he founded one of London's biggest CANON dealerships. This was followed by a successful full colour print company and a below the line ad agency handling clients such as Walt Disney and the Post Office. He also went on to open a large chain of retail outlets before he sold everything and moved to the French Alps en route to the Riviera in 2001. The desire to start just one more business, coupled with a genuine love of the Internet has led him to the idea of FR2DAY and what he firmly believes will be his most successful venture to date. Wayne will use his creative powers and network to build the Riviera Business Club further into a brand that entrepeneurs can't miss.
Freddy Dreher Is German, married with a French woman and has 2 children. After an international management career we moved to the Riviera in 2005. In order to have an occupation I founded my consultancy business Dreher Consult and as second activity I am designing and manufacturing all kind of shelters (covers) for cars, terraces, etc. I want to make the International Business Club as the information and networking platform for the region of PACA.
Tim Ellis
Born in the UK, but first half of my life spent in Hong Kong. Have lived in Val d'Azur (nestled just north of Sophia Antipolis) for around 7 years with my French wife and two dual-nationality daughters. I've been offering marketing-oriented consultancy services for a number of years from here, yet most of my customers ended up being pan-European. Before that was a company director in UK for 10+ years, several years of that as MD of a direct marketing company. 2009 looks to be an exciting year as I'm setting up a new direct marketing company that uses some cool technology to help bridge the gap between companies and their customers - as well as joining the BCC as a keen believer in the natural value and benefits of networking, especially in our great international setting.
Wolfram Gunther
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, I came in 2003 to Sophia-Antipolis for working for local law firm before joining FiDAL as international tax lawyer in 2007. I am particularly involved in explaining and bringing advice to foreigners who would like to settle down on the Côte d'Azur, either to start up business or just for enjoying life-style. Thus, I would like to contribute my experience to the BCC making it more efficient for those already running their business or thinking about to do so.
Ab Kuijer
Capricorn. Born in Amsterdam, living in Cagnes sur Mer. Father of 3 kids, married with Fab. That makes AbFab kind of a mission statement. Founder/ceo at JuniorSenior Communication agency with offices in Paris, Prague, Budapest, Amsterdam and still expanding into emerging markets. I started my businesslife as owner and manager of several radiostations, a publishing house and a tv production company. I do something back for society by organising business and charity related network events in my non-profit role as President of British Chamber of Commerce. I am a Business Angel at Incredible Europe and I like to share my entrepeneurial experiences of the last 25 years to help the Riviera Business Club to develop its position to be of a greater value to existing and start-up companies at the Cote d'Azur.
Gilly LloydSouth African born, I moved to the United Kingdom with my three sons in 1986, where I lived for 22 years. I spent a year in Marmaris,Turkey, before relocating to the Cote d'Azur in September 2009. I've been in communications all my working life - mostly in public and media relations, numbering The Millennium Commission and National Space Centre amongst my major clients - but moved into journalism 12 years ago, specialising in animal welfare, the arts and culture. As a freelancer, I currently edit an online magazine for Parrots International, a California-based conservation charity, and handle communications for the UK office of Borneo Orangutan Survival. I'm a Trustee of the Brighton RSPCA Animal Shelter in the UK, and did voluntary work at the Marmaris dog pound whilst there. I fell in love with the Cote d'Azur whilst working for UTA French Airlines in Johannesburg, and vowed to return some day. I now look forward to helping the RBC with communications during 2010.
Alison Rentoul - Life & Business Coach - Riviera CoachingBorn in Melbourne, Alison acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Philosophy and trained as an advertising copywriter before leaving Australia in 1994 to broaden her horizons in Europe. After four years in varied corporate environments in London Alison moved to the French Riviera where she has held senior sales and marketing positions in both small start-up businesses and large international companies, including three years as Marketing Director of a leading yacht brokerage firm. With a keen interest in communication and a strong desire to help people attain their personal and professional goals, in 2009 Alison gained a Certificate in Personal Performance Coaching from The Coaching Academy in London, and is currently completing a two year Personal Performance Diploma with them. She looks forward to assisting with the growth of the Riviera Business Club and helping make it a successful collaboration for everyone involved.
Sabine Weber
I am born in Munich, Germany, and live in Monaco for 8 years now. After having been a freelance Marketing Consultant in Monaco I joined Mediterraneum Editions in 2003 and am responsible for Marketing and Sales. Mediterraneum Editions is the number one publisher for foreign language media in the region and always dedicates editorial space to the BCC in our English publication THE RIVIERA TIMES. I speak German, English, Italian and French and would like to help the RBC to develop commercial partnerships as well as contacts with new members or sponsors.
