The Riviera Business Person of the Year gala in a new format;
black-tie in a lounge atmosphere as a perfect mix for business and pleasure.
About 100 international business people came to the Riviera Marriot in
Cap d'Ail. BCC Riviera's president Ab Kuijer mentioned in his opening speech
that times are still tough for business owners but that people are adapting
to the new situation and that new business is moving. The role of the BCC
Riviera is more than ever to stimulate that movement amongst each other.
Special guests on the evening where former miss Great Britain and business
woman Liz Fuller who did the Charity presentation. The guests raised all together
1600 euro which goes to Rêves, the foundation in Cannes that helps terminal ill children to fullfill their last wish.
Serial entrepeneur Candace Johnson (Sophia Business Angels) announced the final winners of this year's edition
of The Riviera Business Person of the Year. Mike Lorimer and Rachael Dickens where amongst the 3 finalists.
The public and the Jury finally chose Karen Marsh of VBA International as the 2009 Riviera Business Person of the Year!
